Acquisition of Northern Insulations

SIG are pleased to announce the acquisition of Northern Insulations ("NI") for around £150,000 in cash on a debt-free basis.

NI is a single-branch insulation specialist based near Newcastle England with a particular expertise in cavity wall insulation. It is a profitable business and in the last full year recorded sales of around £400,000.

The acquisition will be integrated into SIGs existing insulation business. NI fills a gap in SIGs geographical coverage in this market and offers opportunities to further develop levels of customer service in the North East and to enhance profitability by applying SIGs purchasing benefits.
