AGM Trading Statement

SIG plc, Europe’s leading supplier of Insulation, Roofing and Interior products, is holding its Annual General Meeting today, 2nd May 2003. David Williams, Group Chief Executive, will be making the following statement concerning trading: “Market conditions, which continue to be particularly difficult in Germany and in Interiors across the UK and Europe, are generally in line with our expectations. Against this background, and whilst the comparison is against a rather weak start to last year, trading so far in 2003 has been positive. This encouraging start to the year gives the Board confidence that further progress will be made.”
