SIG Roofing is pleased to announce the acquisition of SM Roofing Supplies. First established in 1993, SM Roofing Supplies employs 11 staff and operates from a site in Pelsall, Walsall. It has grown to become one of the region’s foremost suppliers of roofing materials to builder’s merchants, roofing merchants, roofing contractors and the general public.
Under the ownership of SIG Roofing, SM Roofing Supplies will continue to trade under its existing brand but with the full backing of SIG Roofing’s national supply network which will enable the business to further strengthen its first-rate service offering to customers thanks to SIG Roofing’s leading product range and training provisions.
News of the acquisition comes at a pivotal time for SIG Roofing as the business continues to roll-out ambitious plans to strengthen its offering to customers nationwide. The acquisition of SM Roofing Supplies fills a gap in SIG Roofing’s coverage in the West Midlands, expanding its service capabilities to roofing contractors across the region.
Philip Johns, Managing Director of SIG UK, commented: “As a business, we have been closely following SM Roofing Supplies impressive growth across the past decade, and recognise them as one of the most respected roofing supply specialists. That’s why we are so delighted to welcome them to the SIG Roofing family. With a reputation for customer service excellence, we are sure that SM Roofing Supplies team will help us further enhance our offering to roofing contractors nationwide.”
“Indeed, the acquisition serves as further testament to our commitment to supporting the roofing industry. This year has certainly had more than its fair share of uncertainty, but via our new partnership with SM Roofing Supplies, we are seeking to provide renewed confidence to the wider roofing industry as we head towards 2021.”
