Bert de Ru appointed SIG Benelux Managing Director

SIG has appointed Bert de Ru as Managing Director (MD) of SIG Benelux effective 1 October 2023.

Bert has an impressive background in the building materials and pitched and flat roofing markets, having gained experience at renowned international companies, including BMI Monier and Icopal over the last 13 years.

Hans Verhoeven will remain as interim SIG Benelux MD in the intervening months and will work with Bert to ensure a smooth transition of responsibilities.

Bert said: “I’m excited to embark on this new journey working with the team to strengthen our business in the Netherlands and Belgium.

“My focus will be on supporting our people to further develop our customer relationships, enhance our local and specialist reach, and share expertise to bring the best results for SIG.’’
